Why Arey Followed the Gold Standard in Clinical Studies
At Arey, we work closely with our medical and scientific advisers to research and develop our products and study their efficacy, so we can be confident in our ingredients. We also get plenty of positive feedback via our clients’ success stories. We conducted our Gold Standard clinical study because we wanted to prove scientifically that Arey’s The System is an effective grey hair solution.
When it comes to trusting a brand, you want to make sure their clinical studies are performed at the Gold Standard level. That means a study that uses a randomized controlled trial.
Here’s why a Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) is the gold standard for clinical studies:

RCTs are rigorous: they are structured to eliminate bias that could lead to false results.

RCTs are randomized: they avoid results based on specific group characteristics such as race or gender.

RCT’s are double-blind: neither our participants nor our researchers know who is using the actual product and who is using the placebo. This helps eliminate any bias.
We didn’t just stop there. We literally counted hairs and documented our findings. As a clean beauty company we were also excited to confirm that both Not Today, Grey, and To The Root™ (The System) were well-tolerated with no serious adverse effects reported.
The results were then compared between the Active System Group (who received The System with our active ingredients) and The Placebo System Group (who received The System without any active ingredients).
All our participants were reviewed after 12 and 24 weeks and the results were documented photographically by an independent laboratory. Here’s what we found:
We used these 3 categories to assess the effectiveness of The System:
- Less Grey Hair Growth
- Evidence of Repigmentation
- Signs of Fuller, Thicker Hair
The results were clear: 88% of Active System Group participants had less grey hair growth. The Active System Group has 13% decrease in grey hair growth compared to the Placebo System Group who saw a 10% increase in new grey hair over the same period.
